Discussion: |
This evening, scattered showers and
thunderstorms have popped up in a line from around Ashland to Wausau. This activity is expected to gradually end
by around sunset. A complex of
thunderstorms is expected to develop overnight in northern MN and move
south-southeast into far northern WI through early morning. The rest of northern and central WI may see
spotty showers or thunderstorms at times during the day on Tuesday. A cold front will swing through Tuesday
night, and that is when the main chance of stronger thunderstorms would
be. The highest chance will be in
northern Wisconsin. Gusty northwest
winds will usher in somewhat cooler air for Wednesday. There could be some spotty, mainly light
showers from time to time, especially in northern Wisconsin. Yet another front will push through later
Thursday with a chance of scattered thunderstorms. While much of Friday could be dry, it looks
unsettled again from Friday night into the weekend, with some early
indications of some heavy rain possible during that time frame . No frost is expected over the entire
period. Forecast confidence is
moderate. |
